Rosasite "balls" are one of the more rare colorful copper minerals from the Tsumeb assemblage, especially when seen like this - in isolation, contrasting on a beautiful crystallized white matrix of calcite. Lustrous and translucent, colorless, rhombohedrons of calcite to 1.3 cm across, form the matrix for spherical aggregates of velvety blue-green rosasite, to 1.5 cm across. This is a Tsumeb classic, and an exceptional miniature display specimen. Again, while rosasite itself might be generally obtainable, these isolated spheres are simply not common at all.
