A sharp cluster of lustrous, mostly transparent, white to colorless Calcite rhombs from the famed Tsumeb Mine in Namibia! The Calcite rhombs are lustrous, well-formed and exhibit a starkly contrasting dusting of rusty Hematite on the interior of select crystal faces making for interesting piece! The Calcite crystals are situated on a small piece of matrix and the matrix can be seen through some of the Calcite crystals due to their transparency! Calcite crystals measure up to 4 cm in maximum dimension and are in very good condition save some very minor crazing along some edges. A Tsumeb classic from the Shields and Frances Flynn collection.
