This large and fine "butterfly twin" of calcite is lustrous and translucent to gemmy. It is colored a light pink by trace amounts of manganese, which also give it a stunning orange fluorescence. This came from a small find of 2016 and is exceptionally balanced and dramatic in form. It is complete all around except a shallow edge cleave on the top right, not really visible as you'd display on a shelf in any case but worked into the price here, which would otherwise be higher for such a nice butterfly twin in this unusual pink color. I am not aware of other localities producing such large pink twinned calcites of this habit.
