Cobaltian calcites with this neon pink color came out only a few times in such large crystals, combined with the color saturation, in the 1980s. This is a large, complete single with excellent color, excellent luster, and translucency when backlit. It is a "boxbuster" thumbnail, of impact and size in the thumbnail box. These seldom turn up for sale any more. A spectacular old find, never equaled by other finds of calcite, and with amazing hot pink color that leaps out of any display. Complete all around, and a very choice and fine thumbnail for quality as well as color and rarity.
