From an old find prior to the famous orange creedites at the newer locality in Navidad (Durango), this is a very rare matrix purple creedite from the older 1980s finds at Santa Eulalia. Unlike nearly all others, it is ON MATRIX! The specimen features a gorgeous complete knob of crystals perched atop a natural pedestal. It is a shocking matrix example for color, size, aesthetics, from a location not well known for this beautiful species. I believe it was 1984 or so, but most of these immediately went into private collections and few have come to market since that time (mostly out of the John Barlow collection, as he bought so many - but that was dispersed back in 1998 now). A really surprising find we made in a dealer stock in Europe, obviously from an old collection.
