Creedite from Mexico came out in different colors in the 1980s from Santa Eulalia, but what most of us really seek out now is the gorgeous material like this from a surprising discovery from Durango in the early 2000s. These spiky clusters are dramatic, lustrous, colorful, and everything you would want in a rare species of mineral... but large and showy. They redefined what you could get for the species as a collector. While there are many larger examples, this is a particularly elegant specimen in its size class.
