A classic, blocky, gem light blue-green Aquamarine crystal is nicely perched on a translucent smoky-Quartz crystal section. This transparent, sharply formed Aquamarine crystal has a geometric termination displaying the flat-topped pinacoid with well-developed pyramidal modifications (both geometries together, clearly visible). All of the Aquamarine's crystal faces are very glassy and it's interesting to note that two of the prism faces, while glassy, have a slightly satiny luster due to numerous micro-growth features, whereas all of the other faces on the crystal are just super vitreous and you're able to see right into this gorgeous crystal. The crystal is terminated on one end and sits perfectly on the Quartz that also hosts a few Lepidolite crystal that are embedded into the prominent crystal face. A terrific and well-composed matrix Aquamarine from Brazil, where such matrix examples of aquamarine are quite unusual. Aesthetic, as befits this collection's style.
