Perched aesthetically on marble matrix are several well-formed Afghanite crystals that are lustrous and translucent, along with exhibiting a gorgeous, rich blue color. The larger Afghanite is 3.8 cm long, and the second-largest is 2.9 cm and thick! Larger Afghanite crystals are occasionally available, but the quality and aesthetics of this three-crystal cluster make this specimen one of the best from the deposit in its size range. The Afghanites have an orange fluorescence that add even more to their interest and quality, along with a fluorescent matrix, as well. Distinguished aesthetics and impact make this specimen stand out. This is also the Type Locality for Afghanite.
