A classic Yaogangxian fluorite from early production in the 1990s, but unusual in that it is such a nice single upright crystal on a pedestal. The yellow mineral in association is muscovite, in gorgeous little translucent crystals - somewhat of a rarity. Quartz is also present. This razor sharp Fluorite crystal is 4 cm across and to 3.2 cm on edges. In person, the color is a pleasing lavender hue. Interestingly, the face is minutely textured and pebbly only when light impacts it at a certain angle, and otherwise looks perfectly flat and smooth! As a bonus, it is strongly fluorescent.
