Dramatic and beautiful gem-green fluorite on a sparkling matrix shard make this a competitive Chinese specimen of unique overall appearance. This mesmerizing fluorite is dominated by dodecahedral faces with cube modifications. The absolutely striking thing about this fluorite crystal is that, in addition to it being completely gem and a dark mint green color, the purple axial zoning it displays in the orientation of the cube faces radiates from the center of the crystal to the edges like laser beams! A truly sensational fluorite crystal that measures 4.5 x 3.8 x 3.1 cm. It is complete and displays very well: contacted only on the very back where it was peeled in nature off the host silicified limestone matrix. I have seen many pieces from Dongpo, and few as aesthetic as this!
