A signifcant rarity: An elegant display specimen consisting of numerous, gemmy to translucent, rhombohedral magnesite crystals beautifully accented with several, large (for the species) light orange-pink florenceite-(Ce) crystals to 6mm! The colorless to pink tinged, glassy magnesites range from a few millimeters up to 2cm across. No less than ten well-formed, doubly terminated florencite crystals from 1-6mm adorn the piece which are very large for the species! Several small (2-3mm) dark cherry red crystals of uvite grace the specimen at one end of the piece. From the important magnesite deposits at Brumado, Bahia, Brazil that were discovered in 1939 and mined continuously since.
