Conichalcite ps. Azurite with Azurite$950.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Captivating and bold example of the rare Conichalcite after Azurite pseudomorphs from the Christiana Mine in Lavrion, found in a single pocket in 2012. This is interesting in that the specimen LOOKS fully replaced from above, but shows remnant Azurite when you look in from below. It is a complete all around Conichalcite specimen atop, showing a rich color display of this rare mineral. Look at the bottom: the main, geode-like cavity of Azurite shows the dramatic contrast in form and color between the sharp Azurite crystals within (secondary, later growths?) and the pistachio-green Conichalcite. The Conichalcite is intricately detailed, having two distinct habits (the replacement and a later generation of ball-shaped Conichalcite on the remnant azurite within the bottom), and the small spheres on the Azurites add a surprising amount of interest and charm. This outstanding, large miniature was found in 2012.
