The Mammoth District in Pinal County is rife with 108 valid minerals, including ten type localities, though it seems little-known outside of Arizona specialist collectors. Mined for Gold, Vanadium, and Molybdenum, one of the most highly desired mineral species from here is the lead molybdate Wulfenite. This exceptional crystal set of three layered crystals has very good luster, fiery yellow-orange color, and sharp, beveled edges. Even with one corner broken off, this thumbnail is quite attractive and desirable, not only for the color and clarity, but for the size as well. Fine aesthetics.
