Dramatic and yet understated at the same time, this fine pair of intergrown Fluorite cubes on white Quartz is from the famous Yaogangxian Mine. The mint-green Fluorites reach up to 3.8 cm on edge, and they have a silky luster that creates a soft, attractive look. There is some preferential tinting and etching, which is an effect that is always fascinating and interesting. The offset of the cubes is just enough to create visual appeal, and the contrast against the snow-white, crystalline Quartz matrix adds even more to the aesthetics. This combination piece is a choice and engaging small cab that has enough individuality that it well-represents this famous locality.
