Exceptional colorless transparent twin crystal from this old Japanese mine, probably from the early 1900s. From: Keith Williams (Williams Minerals, Idaho Springs, Idaho), February 3, 1990. These are super rare, and we see very few Japanese minerals of this quality and style for sale. Alex Schauss had a large suite of calcite twins, and enjoyed hunting for such old and rare localities.
