Natrolite is one of those species often ignored by collectors because they simply do not get sexy enough to look good in a display collection. Elongated gem crystals only come from a few locations, of which one of the rarest is near the benitoite mines in Northern California. This is a fine thumbnail specimen, a large thumbnail of competition level, that wins points for both species and locality. It is complete all around, and features a central columnar crystal with nice accents at the base. Probably from the 1960s-early 1970s finds here. Rock Currier #5569. He got the specimen in 1990 from Cal Graeber when he sold Marion Godshaw's collection.
