A stunning, gemmy crystal of perfect hexagonal aquamarine, 6.3 x 4 x 3 cm, pastel blue color, and with amazing glassy luster! An exceptional small cabinet piece from this classic locality, from the 1990s heyday here. Complete all around, it really shows off the dominant crystal. Out of one of the first large collections of Chinese minerals in the West, this is from the collection of a well known Italian mineral collector, L. Pellegrini, who was an commercial airline pilot. He had the lucky ability to simply carry minerals out in the cockpit, when he flew from China to Italy - and built a sizable and important collection while doing so in the early 1990s. Note the photos show it sideways - I would display it vertically, but it is more difficult to photograph that way.
