Wulfenite and Dioptase on Calcite$7,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
Sharp, sparkling emerald green Dioptase crystals cover the display side of this attractive and important Tsumeb combination piece. The scintillating, gemmy 2 mm Dioptase crystals embellish the snow-white Calcite on the front of this piece. The Dioptase crystals are intermingled with almost two dozen, lustrous, light caramel colored Wulfenite crystals to 1 cm. The Wulfenites are tabular, square in outline and have beveled edges; they contrast well with both the emerald green Dioptase and the white Calcite. The back of the piece is predominantly tightly clustered white Calcite rhombs that only have a minor sprinkling of Dioptase. This is a sublime combination specimen of Wulfenite-Dioptase-Calcite from Tsumeb of a style that is very rare for Tsumeb (mid-1980s). We have seen only a handful of examples from this gorgeous, unique pocket. The Wulfenites have only the tiniest of edge wear despite their exposure. Ex. Robert Reynolds collection with label. Dr Reynolds was a major Southern California collector and curator at the San Bernardino County Museum.
