Copper in native form is extremely rare from Tsumeb! This is a MAJOR museum piece, important for the size and weight, and simply for its beauty as well. It is an impressive, 2.8 pound specimen of dentritic Copper. Although hard to photograph, virtually the entire piece is composed of dentritic crystallization, of which many of the branches terminate in subhedral Copper crystals up to about 7 mm. This is one of the most imposing Coppers I have seen from Tsumeb, and the fact that it is out of the well-known Sussman collection attests to its quality and aesthetics.
