The ArkenstoneFeatured
This wonderfully sculptural manganoan calcite specimen features lustrous and translucent, doubly terminated, light pink crystals, to 9.5 cm in length, that are terminated by 5 mm thick , white caps. A most interesting yet weird growth! The manganese is just enough to give a robust pink color and incredible fluorescence. This is a unique crystal habit that I had not seen before, and came out in 2016. The cluster is actually complete all around, a floater - miraculously formed in some odd environment within the pockets of this iron mining complex! It is 3-dimensional in person, and the crystals are, if anything, like a tulip in shape rather than a normal calcite. The specimen has a subtle elegance to it, hard to convey. Comes with a custom lucite display base.
