Wendwilsonite on Dolomite (co-type locality)$1,950.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A profuse amount of lustrous, electric-magenta colored wendwilsonite crystals cover much of the display surface of this exceptional small cabinet piece from Bou Azzer, Morocco, the co-type locality for this mineral. Wendwilsonite occurs as super lustrous, interlaced aggregates of disc-like crystals between 3 and 5 mm across that display the most intense bright magenta color! The dense coverage of Wendwilsonite cascades down the front of the piece and displays prominently on a pink matrix of 1 to 2 mm Dolomite crystals and granular massive Dolomite. The mineral was described and named in 1987 in honor of Dr. Wendell E. Wilson, Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the Mineralogical Record. A few small bruised areas but overall a huge carpet of color. What a sensational piece!
