Aquamarine ON Topaz... a combination you would not expect to see from anywhere, let alone Brazil, but this is from a very special and famous pocket of the 1990s and never seen again since. The contrasts are shocking, as you can see, with 1 inch aquamarines of an unusual and tapered style (characteristic for this mine), perched on a gemmy topaz crystal. One of the more surprising miniatures in the fine cabinet of Beryls accumulated over nearly 50 years by Bill Larson and his company, Pala Intl, in Fallbrook CA.
