I have loved this calcite for something like 25 years, first purchasing it for my own personal calcite collection back in the late 1990s. At that time, I collected calcites, and preferably fine old classics and sharp crystal forms, and I loved the history that accompanies some of these things. This has it all - a perfectly-balanced miniature, complete all around, with sharp and classic English-style calcites that are simply unique in form. The large upright is 4 cm. The matrix is a thin cast of typical iron stained gossan rock. The labels include a label from Bosch (we think), a label from the Smithsonian, and a small plastic rectangle that was the label of the famous Mary and Gardner Miller Calcite collection (from Montana - they built a ten thousand piece calcite collection that sold intact to Herb Obodda in the 1990s!). It has been with me since I bought it at the time. The labels are truly wonderful, but so is the balance of this fine miniature
