This is a very fine and aesthetic Cavansite-Stilbite specimen from the basalt quarries at Wagholi with a particular beauty to the strings of "beads" laid out on such nice crystallized matrix. This piece is visually stunning with one large and several smaller, intense teal blue Cavansite balls adorning the coarse, white, bristling Stilbite druse that covers the sculptural matrix. They have the best color contrast. The largest blue Cavansite ball measures 1.7 cm across with the other spherical aggregates around 1 cm and all of them scintillate from light dancing off the terminations. There are several smaller tight, divergent clusters of crystals that adorn the piece along with a single, beautiful, 1 cm single crystal which is very unusual. The larger, vibrant blue Cavansite ball crowns the top along with an adjacent companion spray and several other, smaller Cavansite sprays trail off to one side and also at 90 degrees, both in a linear fashion with one arrangement longer than the other. In contrast to the the large deep blue spheres, the smaller attendant Cavansite sprays are all translucent and just glow with gorgeous royal blue color for wonderful color and textural diversity! The sculptural matrix hosting these remarkable Cavansites is richly covered with pearlescent, water-clear to white, bladed Stilbite crystals. Pieces of this rare quality and combination are not common, though common and more typical examples can be had easily.
