This is a significant specimen for the size and richness of the large, well-displayed benitoite crystals hanging off a matrix, accented by white snow-like natrolite. The crystals are huge, thick, robust, and have a large amount of translucency to them. I would not be surprised at all if there were gemmy regions within that might yield cut stones… you can see it on the edges. The large crystal is an inch on edge and dramatic. It is not complete on the outward-facing edge, but I would tilt that back to top-rear as displayed, so that the eye sees the major display face of that large crystal in full, hanging over the white natrolite and accented by the smaller 1-1.5 cm benitoites. Although not the most elegant in style, which are generally smaller specimens anyhow, this is a big specimen with huge crystals for the price.
