From an unusual locality that produced only a very few specimens in its working years, this matrix specimen showcases a freestanding wreath of crystalline gold, 3 cm across, that adorns the top of this attractive multi colored granite matrix. Really rare locality material! Interestingly, small pyrite crystals to 3 mm are in association (obvious in person). The pink and white granite matrix, with the contrasting black host rock, really contrasts nicely with the gold. It is not just a pretty locality specimen, but rather its a very beautiful and unique gold specimen from anywhere because of these contrasts. Old material from the 1990s.
