A classic calcite style, these only came out a few times, and I think the last good pocket was in the 1980s. The specimen features a wonderfully sharp single calcite crystal with the more broad and columnar outer habit (showing rhombohedral modifications on the termination) impaled by a phantom sharp scalenohedron within. This phantom within is coated by tiny pyrite microcrystals on its surface, giving these a unique and memorable look as you see the sparkle within. Old Frazier's minerals label accompanies. This was a crystal I had in my own collection by the 1980s, when I collected calcites exclusively for myself from the mid 1980s through about 2003.
