Beautiful, sky-blue color and amazing luster highlight this intensely colored Hemimorphite from Wenshan. The botryoidal form is classic, and the largest knob is an impressive 3 cm across. Lovely translucence and a uniform sparkle from individual crystal faces along the surface add greatly to the appearance. Indeed, you feel as if you were looking at freshly driven blue snow. The depth and character of this small cabinet specimen create an excellent aesthetic, securely ranking this highly even among the many fine Chinese Hemimorphites. While common enough in principle, few stand out as dramatically as s this piece, in any size range. Found in about 2017.
