A very important dioptase miniature, this has robust crystals of the finest color and isolated on the best matrix. Crystals of highly lustrous and translucent, deep emerald green dioptase, to 1.8 cm in length, are aesthetically emplaced on a druse of snow white calcite. This combination of green on white is a hallmark of Tsumeb dioptase from the peak of the finds, 1984-1985. Ex. Marshall Sussman collection (and it was in his core miniatures suite in the late 1990s, piece #35). While there are many small dioptase specimens out there, there are few enough superb miniatures of this caliber.
