What a strange thing to find!? Hormuz must be an odd locale. We have seen fabulous hematite from here, salt crystals, and now this - anhydrite! These came in a small lot at the Munich show in 2014. This was the biggest that I saw: a doubly terminated, lustrous and translucent, nearly colorless crystal that seems to be a floater. Hormuz Island sits at the head of the Straits of Homuz in the Persian Gulf, a bit of a noted hot spot in the world.
