A very appealing, doubly terminated, 3.6 cm long, cranberry-pink Liddicoatite-Elbaite Tourmaline crystal from Madagascar juxtaposed to a snow white Albite crystal to provide a beautiful accent! The Tourmaline crystal is lustrous, transparent to translucent with lightly striated prism faces, a pyramidal termination on one end and a simple termination on the analogous end. The analogous termination does appear to be sheared in the pocket and perfectly rehealed and is attended by numerous, tiny, sugary pink Tourmaline crystals on the adjacent Albite. An aesthetic miniature from the pegmatites of Madagascar! From a small find in 2017.
