DescriptionWulfenite from this recently re-opened old tungsten mine is among the best in Africa, but seldom seen in this quality: Perched aesthetically above its smaller, intergrown cousins, sits a single, thick tabular, lustrous and translucent wulfenite crystal, measuring 2.4 cm in length. Just a lovely example from this deposit! The piece has a dramatic balance, and is much more robust than most wulfenites. It is complete all around. From a major pocket found in summer of 2014, this is a superb specimen by old or new standards for the locality. I have not seen this quality come out since.
