This set of elongated Bournonite crystals is quite unusual in size and shape for the species from Yaogangxian. While many Bournonites have a cogwheel habit, these crystals are elongated, with dense striations and a bright, reflective metallic luster. The one better set of terminations are smooth and matte, and they reveal the vertical spacing that exists within, and between, the crystals. There is some wear on other edges, as to be expected since Bournonite is brittle, yet this small cabinet piece presents very well, as the pictures show. Large Bournonites with this habit were rare, and often expensive, until they were found at the Yaogangxian. Comes with a custom base for easy display.
