Any Galena, Pyromorphite, or pseudomorph collector has cast an interested eye at one of these famous specimens, and usually found them clunky or damaged. To my mind, this is a very fine example of this classic replacement and should be considered an important piece because it is decidedly "not as ugly as most" and actually displays very nicely. This small cab has super top-horizon aesthetics and no damage, excellent pedigree, and very well-defined crystals to 1.2 cm. For something that is so uniformly grey, the luster and sharpness are both remarkably good. For a soft mineral, it shows none of the usual wear and damage that these tend to accumulate over the years. Lastly, many such specimens are only partially replaced and thus are mottled, but this one shows complete replacement! This is one of the best such specimens to be available on the market of this size and quality, in my opinion.
