800 grams, or approx 2 pounds in weight! A beautiful, blocky straw-colored crystal, with beveled faces and a bit of albite on the area near the base. The crystal has great translucency and the faces are very sharp. There a a few scattered dings along the left side, but really insignificant. A classic form and in superb condition, especially considering the size. These came out briefly in a few spurts in the late 1990s, and then I saw only a very few others in later years. This piece was purchased in the late 1990s at Tucson. This massive crystal is a lower price than comparable from Brazil or Pakistan would be, for a large topaz.
