This is a large, rich specimen of the Chinese pyromorphite that has all but disappeared from the market since the mines closed. When this material was coming out, it was considered the equal of material from Les Farges and Bunker Hill, and it will surely take its place next to those classics over the years. The color in person is less bright green- it is more a darker, forest green, with yellowish accents. The crystals have grown in rolling hillocks that give the specimen a very attractive sculptural appearance (as opposed to a boring flat plate). 9 x 7.5 x 3.8 cm
