2.2 x 1.7 x 0.3 cm (Specimen); 1.95 carats; 7.90 mm (Gem) - A fantastic clove colored "Round Brilliant" cut stone of Axinite-(Fe) with excellent internal clarity and lively color. Due to the pleochroic nature of the species, the stone is large enough to show a directional color change when it's rotated in the light. The other half of the pair is a classic "wedge" shaped crystal with broad, smooth, lustrous faces and excellent gemminess. The piece is in really good condition with only a bit of edge wear. A great example of this contemporary classic material that came out in the mid 1990s. Some damage wear on the crystal is noted.
