Rather than being the usual single crystal on marble matrix, this is an entire BIG CLUSTER of DOZENS of spinel crystals! and on stark white matrix no less (hard calcite). Some of them measure to around 1.2 cm across! These were mined last year. They show varying degrees of gemminess, but all have the characteristic rich cranberry color and fine luster. This is an incredibly rich gem crystal specimen of high quality! 11.9 x 8.1 x 4.4cm
