Bright yellow crystals of mimetite on limonite matrix, from the classic Mapimi locality. Though Mapimi was a prolific producer of mineral specimens of all kinds, specimens of euhedral mimetite crystals from there are not common on the market. Most people do not realize how rare these are and think the mimetites all come from San Pedro Correlitos...but true mapimi pieces like this are much more uncommon and always were. 4.4 x 2.3 x 2.0cm
