Scheelite from this deposit is fairly rare. However, scheelite on euhedral crystals of cassiterite making for a competition-quality miniature is rather more unusual, I'd say! This is from old finds and they were brought to market years ago - have not known of any recently mined material from here showing up for sale at least in the US. The scheelite crystal, which measures 3 cm, exhibits rich orange color and great luster. The largest cassiterite is 1.5 cm. The piece is CLEARLY distinct from Chinese material, in person, and is much more significant in terms of locality than a comparable Chinese miniature might be. 3.5 x 3 x 2.1 cm
