A very aesthetic group of "feathery" scalenohedral Manganoan Calcite crystals with a secondary overgrowth of Calcite and a soft pink hue. The crystals are translucent when strongly backlit. The Idarado mine in Colorado is probably most famous for it's Manganoan Calcite specimens. From the Black Bear vein. Ex. Brian Kosnar Collection.
