Tiered, stepped Calcites are a classic from Tsumeb. No other locality seems to produce this habit in such quality and quantity, if at all. This specimen has fluorescent Calcites with superb luster and good gemminess, with the largest crystal being 2 cm on its longest edge. Some mining bruising, as you would expect, but it does not detract. The aesthetics of a good, tiered Calcite put it right up there with many other of Calcite's numerous habits. This one shines brightly with high luster, as well.
