A rich old-timer specimen of axinite from the Swiss Alps that passed through two notable collections (the Wein collection and that of Eric Asselborn) before ending up in these auctions. The razor-sharp crystals measure up to 2.5 cm. Though these are very easily damaged due to the thinness of their terminations, this specimen is in superb condition, despite its age.
