Hambergite is a rare accessory mineral in gem pegmatites. Seldom do you find it in crystals at all, and usually those would be in the form of extended, elongate blades of little luster. This excellent combination piece has a single, gemmy, lustrous 1.3 cm crystal resting on euhedral, sharp Albites. The crystal in the center is a very rare (I have never seen another) cyclic twinned crystal of hambergite. It is sharp and lustrous. An old piece from Obodda's early travels here, long kept in his miniatures suite. The Albites range up to 1.5 cm on edge. This aesthetic specimen is even better in person due to the difficulty of photography of the twin angles.
