A treelike "sculpture' of sharp orange wulfenites with the classic fire orange color, really unusually well-isolated upon stark contrasting matrix of white quartz and rock. These are usually rich carpets of crystals with little isolation. Yet, this is covered with dozens of sharp crystals from 1 to 1.7 cm, starkly exposed and standing up. It is almost pristine, with just a few tiny dings only. The crystals have the best orange color for this mine, and a unique "sandwich style" where it looks like a rectangular Oreo cookie, with a slightly lighter orange layer of wulfenite within. This style dates to the 1960s and 190s, and seldom do we get a cabinet specimen so remarkably preserved as this one. It is even complete and with more crystals on the backside, as well. The photos convey well, that this is a very three-dimensional piece and not the more common style of mounded clusters on rock. Comes with a custom lucite base.
