Very sharp and defined, 2.8 cm Fluorite crystal from the Sounion mines in Greece's renowned Lavrion Mining District - a large crystal for the location! This attractive, single crystal has a dramatic included zone in the core, and several purple phantoms on or near the faces. The luster ranges from silky to good, and the sharp edges of the cube are in very good condition. The deep, purplish-blue fluorescence is very typical for a Lavrion Fluorite. There is some contacting in the back and a few small dings, but they have little effect on the fine aesthetics as this crystals sits perfectly on a bed of white Calcite and matrix. Collected in 2020. A superb miniature, surely one of the better Greek Fluorites in its size class for this style.
