Idaho aquamarines are extremely rare, especially in this quality with sharp form and intense color saturation. This fine crystal is 12 grams, and was collected by Geary Murdock in the 1980s and sold to Pala Intl. It is actually doubly terminated, although we only realized when we removed it from its old glued mount. One end has multiple terminations and the other is flat and perfect, but still has the natural "concrete" cap of pocket material sitting atop, protecting it. Often, these are found like that and the overlaying mineral is dissolved off in acid, but here it was left as the bottom, while it was mounted with the other termination up - and never cleaned. However, it looks good either way.
