China has recently provided us with an amazing variety of calcite specimens of all habits, colors and sizes. This striking cabinet specimen features a multitude of glassy, translucent, light amber, nail-head calcite crystals with incredible oriented overgrowths of pyrite microcrystals. Nearly every calcite crystal has pyrite on it. The riveting primary crystal is 4.2 cm across.
