Beryl var. Aquamarine
Mogok is not as known for aquamarines, as it is for ruby and spinel and other more fancy gem crystals. However, we get them from time to time. Rather, Bill Larson got them from time to time on over 40 trips to Burma in the 1990s and early 2000s. This is a stunning gem crystal, a full large thumbnail specimen, of about 9 grams. Such quality is unusual for Burma. It has a very pale, hint of blue color, but is not a goshenite.
