New finds of wulfenite are very rare, so this find of wulfenite in the Kuruktag Mountains of China not long ago caused a lot of excitement (you may have seen the article in the Mineralogical Record). These crystals are not large (very few specimens from this locality have large crystals), but they richly cover the matrix, and have bright orange/red color, and good luster and "sparkle."
